Clients & work
I work with a mix of agencies and brands. I do more than write, if need be. I've grappled with wireframes, read EU directives from cover to cover in the name of conscientious research, and pored through reams of homepage source code to find one broken <img> tag.
I speak in your voice. I'll write in the way you want your brand to sound, using the customer data and insights that show it'll sell.
I've spent nearly 3 years working as the Content Director at DEJAPAN in Osaka, Japan. The English-language content marketing and social media was solely down to me. Which is why you might think the company Twitter account's a bit... otaku, sometimes.
This post about Neon Genesis Evangelion went nuts on Reddit.

Punslinger by day, pointer on the clap-o-meter by night.
The SSZ website is (sadly) dead. We had a hell of a time, and hopefully inspired young creatives to get out there and eat some brains. Zombies are dead, long live zombies.
Take a look at the 'Appy occasion cards we made, if you like.
From tweet-sized trivia to listicle-length blog posts, my financial advice has come in all shapes and sizes.
Virgin Money's witty tone of voice let me be playful, even on the serious subject of getting the most out of your moolah.

Suburb is a digital agency in London. They have a lovely office - I'm still plotting how to get their massive tDR poster back to my house without anyone noticing.
I worked with Suburb on Q&As, factoids and UI/UX copy for a pop quiz mobile app. The client's quite big, but I can't tell you who. Just that they loved my work so much they had me write close to 3 times as much copy as originally estimated.
I've been writing for Funny Women since 2013. I'm a former member of their editorial committee and advisory board, and now occasional Asia correspondent.
After writing one particular snarky article, I was asked to defend the correct use of the apostrophe on live BBC radio.

Take the 'What type of saver are you?' quiz. I came up with the Qs and As, so if you don't get the result you want then by all means blame me.
Or, see how much you earn per minute compared to some obscenely wealthy celebs. You can't really blame me for that one, though.
Backpacks and flight bags with personality. Bags with bags of personality, even.
I wrote the product descriptions for the new range of Urban Junk bags and 'The Story So Far'.
Take a look through the range on the Urban Junk website.
The official launch of iD Mobile (from Carphone Warehouse) on Twitter and Facebook used my words to spread the message. You can see how well it worked - I've helpfully kept the like/share numbers in my screencaps.
Give the iD Mobile social media campaigns a look.
